Transformice.com is Transformice's official URL.

The current homepage was released on 12 January 2021, following the removal of Adobe Flash Player in browsers. It has an embedded YouTube video showing the trailer of the game, gameplay screenshots and links to the game's Steam page, social media, Microsoft Windows download and old browser version.

Previous versions of the homepage allowed you to play Transformice. The homepage from 18 January 2012 to 12 January 2021 included links to the forum, categories and pages. The categories were contests, events, fanarts, IRL, news and strips. The pages were presentation, tutorials, wallpapers, events, about us, donators, videos, contact and chat.

The 2010 homepage had links to the forum, Transformice Fanarts Facebook gallery, list of donators and donating with PayPal.

Adverts

In 2010, a horizontal Google AdSense advert banner was placed under the game to help pay for the server costs. The banner performed well, averaging €47 a day. By the end of 2010, it had generated about €11,000 for an average 80,000 unique visitors a day. At the end of October 2011, transformice.com got banned from Google AdSense. A new website was released on 18 January 2012 because the administrators thought that having a full WordPress website with a lot of content might get them unbanned, but they were unsuccessful. By contacting a friend who went to the same school as a Google employee, they learnt the reason for the ban: Google bots detected that the banner was less than 150 pixels away from the game, which is against AdSense's policies. The AdSense banners were reinstated by February 2012 but the whole situation made them switch Transformice to free-to-play, with shop items purchasable with fraises. Free-to-play was released on 14 June 2012 and the admins removed all advert banners from the website. An advert banner was reinstated in November 2013, but vertically instead of horizontally.^[1]
