Ignore is a feature that lets you block a player so they can no longer interact with you.
Ignoring a player also hides their marriage and tribe requests, letters, café messages, emotes and emojis. However, it does not hide their trade requests.
Purposes
The main purpose of ignoring players is to keep them from interacting with the player who has ignored them. A big reason is due to bullying or harassment. A player may make another player feel angry/sad/scared/etc. and some players may only leave the room rather than ignore them, but most usually ignore them. If the following scenario or a similar one ever happens to you, please ignore and report them to let the moderators deal with it.
Another reason is to block spam. Ignoring them will solve this but please report them for spam/flood as well.
Accessing the blacklist
Click the heart button to the left of your text bar.
Click the skull tab in the friend list window.
Ignoring a player
- In the right of the ignore list click the
"Ignore a player" button. - Type in the player's username and press ↵ Enter

- Click on a player's name in the score list to the right of your text bar.
- Click the "Ignore" option.
- A pop-up will appear asking if you're sure you want to ignore the player. Click "Yes".
- When you view your ignored list, you should see the player's name in your ignore list.

- Type "/ignore [username]" in the chat bar.
- Press ↵ Enter. A notice will appear saying "[username] has been added to the blacklist"
- When you view your ignored list, you should see the player's name in your ignore list.
Trivia
- 500 players is the limit for the blacklist. If you try to add more than 500 players to your blacklist, the system will not allow it.
- You can't whisper players who are in your blacklist.
- The ignore list was added with the new community platform on 12 September 2013.[1] From 16 October 2015 (V1.268), when you remove someone from the ignore list, removal is immediate, without needing to wait for the next connection.
- From 9 February 2018 (V1.438), if you friend someone you've ignored, they will automatically be removed from your blacklist. If you ignore someone in your friend list, they will be removed from your friend list and added to your blacklist.
- On 16 February 2018 (V1.440), a search field was added to the friend list and blacklist.
- From 24 February 2022 (V1.688), messages from ignored players are no longer displayed in the café.
- From 3 March 2022 (V1.689), emotes and emojis of ignored players are no longer displayed.
